Battle the best to become number one.
Essentially the 2005 version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship franchise, Yu-Gi-Oh! 7 Trials to Glory gives hard-core card gamers the options they want while incorporating some very basic RPG elements found in previous Yu-Gi-Oh! offerings. Travel to different areas in Battle City and challenge dozens of characters to duels and participate in tournaments. The more you play, the more cards you collect. Create and edit up to 20 decks for different tournaments and playing styles. An additional 200 all-new cards makes this the most extensive Game Boy Advance Yu-Gi-Oh! game ever, perfect for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans of all levels. The game board has taken a holographic turn, where gray card outlines are drawn on a black background. The game mechanics play out the same as previous versions of the World Championship games. One noticeable improvement is the enhancement of game speed. Experienced Yu-Gi-Oh! players will enjoy the pace of the game. Instead of squaring off against the same few characters for boosters, you'll walk around the town and challenge passers-by to duels, RPG-style. You earn Duel Points for accomplishing feats in a match. For instance, at the start of the game, you get one Duel Point for each 100 points of damage you inflict on an opponent. You also gain 20 Duel Points for each monster destroyed in battle. You can spend your Duel Points at the Card Shop. Not only can you buy boosters, you can also buy starter decks and theme decks. In the Card Shop, you can access a password machine. For 1000 Duel Points, you can obtain a card via the password. There's always someone looking for a duel, so you'll always have a way to gain Duel Points. When you're ready to step up to the big time, go to the arena to enter your first tournament. Win enough tournaments and defeat enough duelists in casual play to advance to the World Championship. Bottom Line
