EL SEGUNDO, CA. - September 1, 2010 - Konami Digital Entertainment (Konami), manufacturer of the world's *top-selling trading card game of all time, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG), is used to being honored for its outstanding and innovative products. But now Konami is turning the tables, to recognize the accomplishments of outstanding Duelists, who were ranked in the Top 1000 under COSSY, the company’s official tournament support system, April 1, 2010 and June 30, 2010.Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG

"Our sincerest congratulations go out to the Duelists who played this past season and made our tournament events so strong and well attended," commented Yumi Hoashi, vice president of Card Business for Konami. "We are excited to award the players an official Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME mat commemorating their winning achievement!"

Duelists earn points by playing in regular tournaments at their local Official Tournament Store, provided that the store reports the event results to Konami. They can also get points by playing in Regional Qualifiers, World Championship Qualifiers, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series. A complete list of tournament events for the Americas can be found at www.yugioh-card.com/en/events.

In order to receive their special Game Mat, it is important that each player on the Top 1000 List completes the registration process with their personal details, such as mailing address and phone number, so that their Game Mat can be mailed to them. Duelists will have until September 12th to register their complete information, or they will forfeit their award. Registration can be done online at www.cossy.konami.net.

Duelists who didn't make the Top 1000 this time should not give up. Competitors can all look forward to future recognition in upcoming quarters!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Heads to Canada Next

Toronto Area to Host the Next Stop in the Global Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series September 4 - 5, 2010

EL SEGUNDO, CA - August 25, 2010 - Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (Konami) is bringing its wildly successful Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) to Canada's financial center, Toronto. This premier-level Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) event gives Duelists the chance to match their skills against each other for fun, fame, and fantastic prizes.Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS)

The YCS, held near Toronto at Mississauga's International Centre on the weekend of September 4th, will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 4th for registration and Round One will begin at 10:00 a.m. The Top 16 YCS finishers, along with the top Duelists of the Sunday Regional Qualifiers, earn invitations to participate in their respective 2011 World Championship Qualifier events, to be held next year.

Duelists, upon paying their registration fee, will receive five Duelist Revolution booster packs just for participating in Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series.

Konami will award a set of the YCS prize cards to the main event winner, the two runners-up and the winners of Sunday's public event and wild card rounds. Each of these Duelists will receive one copy of each of the three YCS prize cards: Ultra Rare versions for the winner of the main event, and Super Rare copies for the others.

EL SEGUNDO, CA. - August 15, 2010 - After an amazing weekend-long Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship event beset with dramatic Duels and roller coasters of emotions, Galileo De Obaldia from Panama, played his final card to defeat Vincent Paglia from Las Vegas, NV to become the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) 2010 World Champion. Not to be out-dueled, Arturo Oviedo from Spain captured the coveted title of Yu-Gi-Oh! Video Game World Champion. In the 3rd/4th place final match, Kei Kuwano of Japan, playing his Herald of Perfection Deck, defeated Tae Woo Kim of South Korea, playing Blackwings.Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2010

37 players, from 18 countries representing the world's best and brightest Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME and Video Game players came to Long Beach, CA to battle for Konami Digital Entertainment's top Yu-Gi-Oh! honors of the year. After 12 months of tournaments and hundreds of Qualifying events across the globe, the greatest players brought high hopes and their best Yu-Gi-Oh! Decks and skills to Long Beach in a quest to be crowned 2010 World Champion.

Heading into the Final Round Sunday, all eyes were upon De Obaldia (21 years of age) and Paglia (age 18), as they brought their cards to the table. De Obaldia started with a Cold Wave card from his FROG One-Turn-Kill Deck and Paglia activated Royal Oppression and Mask of Restrict card from his Blackwing Deck. Well into the match, it was still unclear who was going to take home the top prize but in the final minutes it was Galileo De Obaldia's unwavering skill and strategy that helped him to prevail and to capture the title of 2010 World Champion.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Video Game World Championship was also held over the weekend pitting world-class Duelists from around the globe on the center stage. Competitors have battled for months, to make it to the World Championship event, with only twelve players skilled enough to earn a trip to the Championship. After seven of rounds playing Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia it was Oviedo that proved to possess the unwavering skills and strategic moves that lead him down the winning path and ultimately to be crowned the Video Game 2010 World Champion.

TCG World Championship will include the top players from the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Asia, Oceania and Europe to compete for the coveted title of Champion. Due to its collectability and strong game play, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG has become the world’s number one selling trading card game of all time* with more than 22 BILLION cards sold and enjoyed by millions of players on every inhabited continent.

The final quest to reign supreme begins on August 14 as the World Championship unfolds over the course of the weekend. KDE is also offering public events open to everyone - for those not participating in the World Championship. Attendees can participate in various events like Regional Qualifiers, King of the Hill events, and (for Duelists age 12 & under) Dragon Duels. There will also be activities for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans looking for something more casual than a tournament setting. Special World Championship 2010 packs will also be given away to select participants.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Video Game World Championship will also be held pitting world-class Duelists from around the globe on the center stage. Competitors have battled for months, to make it to the World Championship event with a single goal, to be crowned the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Champion. Competitions leading up to the finale have been played using Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia, allowing Duelists to completely craft a customized Deck worthy of making it to the World Championships.

Attendees can also pose for pictures with the Duel Runner, Stardust Dragon, or get their own personalized token card created. The Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's DUEL TERMINAL arcade-style machines and the latest upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! video game titles will also be present. And there will be a place for parents and chaperons to rest in the Parent's Lounge while their young Duelists are showing off their skills. Additionally, there will be three anime rooms showing videos from each of the three Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series, and a Sneak Preview of the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D movie! In addition, Greg Abbey, the voice actor for Yusei, from the wildly popular animated series Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's will be in attendance all weekend.

Michigan Teen Beats More than 1100 Duelists during Weekend Event in Minneapolis

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - July 13, 2010 – Among the growing anticipation and hushed "oohs" and "ahhs" from the crowd of more than 1,000, 16-year-old Sean Montague from Redford, Michigan, out-played his formidable opponent, 18-year-old Georgia resident Chris Arantes, after a grueling final round to be named United States National Champion. This was just one of hundreds of Duels played over the course of the two-day Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) United States World Championship Qualifier 2010.Sean Montague from Redford, Michigan

The Minneapolis Convention Center hosted representatives from nearly every State this past weekend as 1,195 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duelists converged to vie for the coveted title of United States Champion and the opportunity to compete in the World Championship next month in Long Beach, CA.

With family and friends intently watching each move, Montague expertly out-Dueled Arantes in the final round feature match for the title as each finalist played a powerful X-Saber Deck. But as Arantes got down to 3100 Life Points he saw no way to beat Montague and conceded the win and the title of National Champion to Sean. Sean and Chris along with third place finisher Vincent Paglia from Henderson, Nevada and fourth place finisher Daniel LaMartina from Rochester, New York will all receive invitations to the World Championship.

Prizing Information

The Top 4 finishers of the Trading Card Game Championship received the following: Travel and accommodations to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG World Championship to be held in Long Beach, California (USA); Trophy; Complete set of Gold Series 3 and Gold Series 2009; a complete set of Super Rare Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Prize Cards; a trip to Disneyland® the day before the World Championship; Personalized hoodie sweatshirt; 120 min. mini-video camera.

In addition to those prizes, top finishers received the following:
